1914-1918 was the first,
1939-1945 was the second,
But still wars go on,
Tragedy beckons.

Young men,
And women too,
Are taken from their homes,
The tragedies to view.

Not merely to view,
Their lives are broken,
The suffering is real,
Not merely a token.

War has changed,
From horses to drones,
Civilians too, they suffer,
Even in their homes.

Now, here in 2022,
Wars go on, unabated,
As evil people in the world,
Release all their nasty hatred.

So now we all strive,
That all wars should cease,
And that everyone, all of us,
May live in peace.
