The Kiss

by

John Walls

Sadly, John's wife Maureen past away last year. They were married for 50 yrs. She has been visiting him in his dreams recently.
This is about one of those dreams.

I dreamt you kissed me last night,
As I lay in slumber.
Arm around arm, a warm embrace.
Breath mixed together in a sweet taste of Love.
This you promised me, whilst living in Love.
Oh to dream again!
I turned towards your warmth and you held my hand,
Showing me your garden of wild flowers, bees and butterflies.
A cuckoo called in the distance and the bright white light was blinding.
There was an overwhelming feeling of unconditional Love.
I was in Heaven!
I knew this place, you took me there when we first kissed.
This you promised me, whilst living in Love.
Oh to dream again.
