Do Aliens Iron Their Clothes?

by

Jamie Campbell

Jamie Campbell is from Wales and now living on the Wirral.

Imagine the scene - bright shining lights
An alien craft, such frightening sights.
The backdrop of music, the ramp opens down
All faces are scared now, no time for a frown
The alien steps out, the smoke shrouds around
And townsfolk are waiting to hear alien sound
A turn to his mum and the lad there he goes..
‘I wonder do aliens iron their clothes?’

A fair thought said mum looking down at her boy
She glanced at the alien and started to toy
With the thought that the un-ironed space suit had been
Bought from a charity shop, Next or Shein.
Well the alien equivalent of such a store
And it whetted the lads quest for answers much more

Do aliens brush their teeth and their hair?
Do aliens even have those things right there?
Are aliens just like my dad? Do you know?
Do they go to the pub, watch the match, say hello?
Do they have to have the spaceship repaired?
Does it run on petrol or would that be weird?

There’s so many questions he wanted to ask
But the alien being has come with a task.
The task had been allocated from up on high
With the express instruction to get in and fly
To Earth as it guaranteed plenty of things
That aliens needed from Cobalt to springs.

So as the space creature walked near to the lad
The mum braced and breath held, she thought this was bad
The alien looked at her straight with four eyes
And opened his two mouths and to her surprise
Spoke English and mentioned his quest in a riddle
Take him to her leader but via the Lidl.
