Sailing into Liverpool
Sailing in to Liverpool we see Another Place,
And we know we're almost there again.
Seaforth docks and the renowned Pier head,
As we slide gently down our shipping lane.
From Panama and Mexico we come,
To trade in this much-loved place.
Crossing the rough Atlantic Sea,
Anticipating a heartfelt embrace.
Hose the decks, await the captain's nod.
We're off to the bars of this great city.
To unwind, to drink and dance and sing,
With a Liverpool girl who's oh so pretty.
Sailing in to Liverpool we see Another Place,
And we know we're almost there again.
Seaforth docks and the renowned Pier head,
As we slide gently down our shipping lane.
Perch Rock, the fortress of New Brighton.
The Albert Dock and it's maritime past.
The sound of Ferry Across the Mersey.
Liverpool’s history is unsurpassed.
We say goodbye to the three lovely Graces,
Replicated and acclaimed in old Shanghai.
We'll see you another time my dears,
When the landing stage is nigh.
Sailing in to Liverpool we see Another Place,
And we know we're almost there again.
Seaforth docks and the renowned Pier head,
As we slide gently down our shipping lane.
