A Cake to Live by is Hard on the Outside and Soft in the Middle

Gather your ingredients and a large bowl and spoon.
Take a good dollop of humility and mix with some resilience.
Add two bars of confidence to three ounces of daring.
Spread it into a cake tin and then add a dash of brilliance.

Bake in the centre of the oven at 200C, 180 fan.
Remove from the oven and cool for 10 minutes.
Gently prod the cake to test for bounce-back-ability.
Hide it somewhere in the fridge to keep it off limits.

When guests arrive liberally cover it with excitement.
Share with visitors with a high degree of optimism.
Be sure, they will all be very happy and satiated.
Now distribute to other people to show some altruism.
