Am I judgin’ or am I a curmudgeon?

We’ve clearly become more slack.
A bicycle without lights at night
Would have earned us a whack.

What’s obviously allowed nowadays
Is parking on double yellow lines.
The police simply avert their gaze.

Cycling on the pavement was a no.
Today pedestrians duck and dive.
If you’re hit it’s your fault don’t you know.
