Unfulfilled
Unfulfilled

My skin is getting wrinkly my bunions are causing pain.
To see even twenty yards ahead is somewhat of a strain.
The grass is lengthening as I can no longer tend to it.
My car is on the driveway, since I was forced to quit.

My abilities are rapidly sliding down the drain.
My family are progressively taking the strain.
My accomplishments, once applauded, are fading.
I can’t do the things I did. I find it quite degrading.

I used to be earnest, worthy, respected, admired.
All those attributes have receded since I retired.
I’m now less capable but I used to be skilled.
Now I just have memories and I feel unfulfilled.
