You Are a Star
You Are a Star

Darling, you are the moon and stars and the universe to me.
More approachable than Orion, more ornate than Ursa Major.
You’ve got more life in you than a White Dwarf.
You are beyond the beauty of Ganymede, I’d wager.

Pleiades, the Seven Sisters of Taurus, want you in the family.
You’re more striking than Polaris. The Dog Star is at your feet.
Titan goes weak at the knees just watching you move.
In comparison the Sun is pale, and the Milky Way less sweet.

I love you more than the Hubble telescope can see.
Far more than a trillion light years times ten.
Mercury rises and bows in your presence.
And following you now are the three wise men.
