The woman with the unusual gait,
Wasn’t carrying any excess weight.
She had no heavy bags to haul.
But her feet were rather small.
I thought maybe it was just a trait.

She swayed from side-to-side.
Her bottom not especially wide.
Her shoulders she kept quite straight.
But she walked in a figure of eight.
Then I saw the poor thing was cross-eyed.

She managed very well despite it all.
And she never did suffer a fall.
However, she took twice as long.
Just to meander along.
And she’ll never go in a dance hall.
