It’s New Year’s Eve
To be honest, I’m still stuffed
But there’s a party ahead
I’m trying hard to be chuffed

But the thought of socialising
Is giving me butterflies
I know the fellas who’ll be there
They’re all know-it-all guys

I’d much prefer to stay home
With Jools Holland on the box
Sitting in my pyjamas
And wearing my Christmas socks

I’m bringing in the New Year
On my couch with a glass of wine
Where no one can get on my nerves
Siting there, I’ll be just fine

So Happy New Year to you all
I hope it brings what you want
My resolution is quite simple
I’m going to be more nonchalant
