W/C Monday 28th August 1939

Saw Fred and Ginger at the cinema in Portland,
Then went to Redcliffe Bay the following day.
On Wednesday, while still in lovely Dorset
We enjoyed Nothe Gardens and Upway.
On Thursday it was Plymouth and Torquay.
With war news on Friday, we headed home that day.
On Saturday we were guests at Lily Morris’ wedding.
War was declared on Sunday and so we went to pray.
